Code audit

A code audit tells you what you have before you build on it.

An independent review of your application's code by senior developers who have been building and maintaining web applications since 2007. You get a clear grade, the risks that matter, and a prioritized plan, written so owners and developers can both act on it.

What every code audit includes

  • Graded on eight areas

Security, data, performance, architecture, code quality, testing, dependencies, and operations.

  • A report for owners and developers

A plain-language summary up front, specific findings with fixes behind it.

  • Prioritized next steps

What to fix first, with effort estimates.

  • Your code stays contained

Reviewed in an isolated, disposable environment, never copied anywhere else and deleted immediately after.

  • Hands off your systems

We never connect to your production servers, databases, or accounts.

  • Help with the fixes

We can do the work, alongside your team or on our own.

How a code audit works

  1. Tell us about your app

Book a 30-minute call or send us a message. If you’re not sure which level fits, we’ll recommend one.

  2. We review a copy of your code

In an isolated, disposable environment that’s deleted as soon as we’re done. We never connect to your production servers, databases, or accounts.

  3. You get the report and a plan

A plain-language summary with a grade for each area, specific findings with their fixes, and what to fix first, with effort estimates. If you want, we’ll do the fixes too.

Code audits for vibe coded apps

Built with Lovable, Replit, or Base44? An audit is a quick way to see what the tool left behind before real customers find it: security gaps, exposed keys, and data that isn’t locked down. When there’s work to do, our vibe coding cleanup takes it from there.

Questions about code audits

How much does a code audit cost?

Each level is a fixed fee: $1,000 for Essentials, $1,500 for Standard, and $2,500 for Comprehensive. Compare what each one covers.

How long does a code audit take?

Typically less than a week, depending on the size of your app and the level you choose.

What's in the report?

A plain-language summary up front, with a grade for each of the eight areas and the risks that matter. Behind it are the specific findings with their fixes, and a prioritized plan with effort estimates, so owners and developers can both act on it.

Do you need access to our servers?

No. We review a copy of your code in an isolated, disposable environment that’s deleted right after, and we never connect to your production servers, databases, or accounts.

Can you audit an app built with Lovable, Replit, or Base44?

Yes. AI-built apps get the same review, and it’s often the fastest way to find the security gaps they ship with. If the audit turns up work, vibe coding cleanup is how we fix it.

Do we need a technical due diligence review before buying a software business?

If the software is a big part of what you’re buying, it’s worth it. The Comprehensive audit is built for acquisitions: a line-by-line review of sign-in, payments, and data access, steps to reproduce every finding, and a check of the public website and the domain and email setup.
